On first glance the Canadian Automotive Museum doesn’t look like much. It’s a tiny building sandwiched between a law firm and a medical centre. The parking lot has room for maybe 15 cars if they are parked perfectly. It’s not a set up that will instantly draw your attention.

But don’t let that fool you.

A lot of automotive history is crammed into the small space. I don’t know what sorcery the owners pulled to park so many vehicles across the two floors of the museum, but they are done so expertly, maximizing every square inch.

When you first walk in, you are greeted by an employee who explains the museum set up to you. My family and I have been here a number of times and each time the person at the front has been warm, knowledgeable and friendly. They encourage you to ask questions – and they mean it. Throughout our visits, we have asked questions as varied as car insurance to local history and have been given an excited and complete answer each time. You can tell the employees enjoy their job and that shines through right from the start.

Now onto the cars.
